If you feel that you are in a toxic relationship, it’s time to take action and to seek help. If you are involved in physical danger, you may need to notice the police or call the National Domestic Violence Hotline at 1-800-799-7233. If it is emotional or mental, you and your partner can decide if it’s possible to work through the issue. Therapy may also help. If you want to end a toxic relationship, there are 10 steps on where you can start:

1. Step out of denial

2. Keep a log of emotions

3. identify the perks/how they treat you

4. Identify what you were hoping to do with this relationship and find alternative sources

5. Surround yourself with positive people

6. Give yourself notes 

7. Treat yourself

8. Heal the shame

9. Repeat affirmations

10. Get some rest
